Stephen & Mandy's Adoption - Fundraiser!

I'm really excited to show you these next images!  I've known Mandy for a long time before Stephen was really in the picture, and Stephen for quite a while. We go to the same church in Sherman, Texas when I am home to see my family. It's been wonderful to see them grow into the couple they are today and to see them on their journey to adopt a child from Ethopia. It's been a long journey and they still have one a half years today until they hopefully get to meet their precious child!

I have wanted to help them on their journey and the best way I could think to do that was to use my gift and love for photography. I am holding mini sessions in Sherman as a sort of fundraiser. All proceeds go towards their adoption, every single penny! I will be back with more information on that Monday, but for now I wanted to show you the photographs I took of them at Mandy's parents home last weekend. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for them and to meet their child!

You can read more about their adoption story HERE and if you can't or live too far I know they would love anything your heart desires to give and you can donate using the PayPal Donate button on Mandy's blog.

Riley

This weekend Seth and I returned my mom's trailer we borrowed to help move all my furniture for the bridal market. While we were there I got to photograph several special people. One of which was my cousin's daughter Riley. She stayed the weekend at my moms and during that time I took her out for a few minutes and grabbed some portraits of her. It's amazing how kids change so fast at this age! I thought my mom's barn would be the perfect backdrop for her because Riley loves horses and riding.

2013 KFDX Bridal Market

Hello everyone! It was great to meet so many brides at this years bridal market and hear about all the weddings being planned! If you haven't found a photographer please shoot me an email or give me a call, I'd love to have coffee or hot chocolate with you, hear about your weddings plans and answer any questions you might have!

Thank you so much to my mom, my husband Seth, and a friend for putting my booth together. Thanks to Kim Southard with The Swanky Thang for the flowers that my mom arranged. Thanks again to my mom who polished the silver my grandma loaned me. She spent hours with a cotton swab doing that! And thanks to Kathy's Bakery for the delicious cookies with my initials!
