Best of 2012

Happy New Year!!!!

I'd like to start this post by saying that I am way behind on blogging. I haven't blogged several weddings, my favorite birth of all time, a bunch of personal stuff, and more. Therefore, my new years resolution is to blog a whole lot more. To create a habit of it. I would love a few nudges along the way if I don't blog, or some "hey, we are reading this" as some encouragement.

On to a few of my favorite people, moments, and photos of the year. There are a ton and this post doesn't even begin to cover them all! I've been so fortunate this year to do the most of what I love the most, which is couples, brides, and weddings. But I have really enjoyed the few other sessions I've taken this year like a birth, a few familys and more. I hope 2013 is as amazing as 2012 was for me, if not even better. I already have some amazing couples on the books for next year and I can't wait! Thank you all for making 2012 so amazing!

Amy and Aldo Expecting - Fort Worth Portrait Photographer

Maternity-8642

So, Amy asked me months ago about a maternity session and we scheduled a time when I had a bridal session in Denton. Speed up to that weekend with all the warnings of storms and tornados and rain and wind, lots and lots of wind. Seth and I still planned on going and I'm really glad we did. The bridal session that morning was wonderful and the rain held off until just at the end of Amy's session in downtown Fort Worth. Amy and I have been friends for a long long long time. Like middle school long time ago. She saw me in all my not so lovely awkward stages, she moved, moved back, and after high school and a trip to Europe that I completely forgot about. We hadn't seen or talked much since except through facebook. We've both graduated college and gotten married so it great to catch up after so many years. In honor of memory I decided to pull out something really special. An old photo! After our session I came back home and had to pull out old scrapbooks to remember. This is one of the better photos of us at Windsor Castle in England back in 2004.

Back to Amy and Aldo and baby Elena.

Michelle, Eric, the twins + the baby bump

Michelle contacted me about maternity photos after I posted a birth story on my blog. I was super excited to meet her but I had to wait months before her bump was ready! I got to meet her two beautiful twin girls, who really know how to work the camera, and have some great style! I also got to meet the excited dad to be. It is always a pleasure anytime I get to photograph a military family, especially since I know these photos will be wonderful to have if a deployment occurs. I enjoyed our session Michelle! Can't wait to meet your baby boy!
