I was really excited to photograph their wedding at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church and the following reception at Austin College in Sherman, Texas because Sherman is my home town and I love any reason that gets me back there to see my family! Plus I knew this church was beautiful! What I really love the most from the wedding is all the vintage details, especially Anna's dress which belonged to her grandmother and was also worn by her mother and a few aunts. Her veil was also her mothers. They are such timeless beautiful heirloom pieces and they were a perfect fit for the style of the wedding. Her wedding band was also an heirloom and I think her ring is vintage as well. Plus, Michael's glasses (and all the other groomsmen's glasses) were super stylish with a vintage feel. Some of my favorite images from the day were just captured, a photo I took that really captured the moment like her hands in her lap and Anna and her mom hugging after she put on the dress, all unscripted, and all honest moments. In face their family portraits are some of my favorite portraits ever because you can see the emotions and that in my opinion just makes those photos so much more special!
