I only had one wedding scheduled for June and I'm soooo glad it was this one! Hopefully you've already seen Alaina's bridals so you know about the amazing dress, and their engagements were you saw how cute they were together, but their wedding topped all of that! It took place on Father's day at Heritage Springs Event center in Anna, Texas out in the country but pretty close to McKinney, Texas. It was a beautiful venue with an outdoor ceremony area and a huge reception area with excellent air conditioning. We all know how important that is in June in Texas! Holly Viles worked her magic with the decor and florals, she's excellent! Tuscan Slice did an awesome job with the catering, I needed all those carbs after being in the hot sun for several hours! This couple and their family and friends were amazing. Trevor's dad was a groomsmen, which is a family tradition as his grandpa was a groomsmen for his dad. Trevor's grandpa also married them, he's the cute guy in the black tux! He was adorable! Their whole wedding was amazing, a little rustic, outdoorsy, with lace and lots of purple, it was just really perfect. The bright bouquets were perfect for the backdrop and popped against the purple dresses. The guys suits in dark gray and purple were perfect too! Their ceremony was touching, they had a moment where a song was sung and their wedding party surround Trevor and Alaina and each of them said a short prayer, it was absolutely beautiful to witness and hear, I was sobbing before it was over, happy tears of course! Their parents are wonderful, you can really see their influence in Trevor and Alaina's life. When Alaina was getting ready, they looked at each other and said "we did it!" because they had finally made it to the day they planned together. Cue tears! I'll stop rambling and let you get to all the gorgeousness, make sure you go to the end to see the portraits we took out in the field during sunset too! If you have time even, watch the video, it has lots more photos in it!
P.S. See if you can find the 30ft tree that they brought in and Trevor carved their initials in it! I look forward to seeing them take photos by it at every stage in their lives!
They decided to do a first look which gave us plenty of time for portraits and they decided to wait until their ceremony for their "first kiss"!
Isn't that arch amazing?! It was the perfect touch and held up so well in the heat. As I said earlier, Holly Viles did an amazing job!
I love the way the ceremony site is set up for the wedding party to walk down the aisle! The groomsmen met the bridesmaids and continued walking. I loved that long path!
Seth followed the wedding party and family back and caught some amazing moments of congratulations!
Trevor made the frame and pen and holder. He loves working with wood which was what inspired some of the decor. He sent me a pen with my initials on it and it's beautifully made!
This is the first time I've been able to do the hearts in the bible! Do you see them? There are two! Trevor also had his ring engraved so that's the page the bible they had guests write in is open to.
They finished things off with a private last dance, it was such a special moment. I think every couple should try and do this, to enjoy one last moment together alone on your wedding day is a perfect way to end the night.
